Add Characters to the Scene
Bring scenes to life with AI-generated characters in Posternity's Editor
Whether you're recreating history or enhancing a family memory, adding realistic characters into your image has never been easier. Here’s how:
🪄 Step 1: Upload or Choose Your Photo
Start in the Posternity Editor:
- Upload your own image
- Or select one from your Posternity archive
This will serve as your base scene for character placement.
👤 Step 2: Add a Character
Click “Graphics” in the lett sidebar:
- Use the Search Field to describe the character you want to add
- (e.g., “a man in a 1920s suit walking with a briefcase”)
- Double click on the image you like
- Posternity’s AI will place the character into your scene with correct perspective and lighting
🎨 Step 3: Adjust Placement and Style
Once generated:
- Move, scale, or rotate the character to fit naturally into the scene
- Apply shadows or color correction for realism
- Use layer options (toolbar) to place the character in front or behind certain elements if needed
🧩 Bonus: Use Presets
Access Preset Characters to quickly add:
- Vintage figures (1900s–1980s)
- Children or family poses
- Workers, travelers, artists, etc.
Perfect for historical reconstructions, fictional scenes, or artistic storytelling.
💾 Step 4: Save and Export
Once the scene feels complete:
- Save the image
- Download in high resolution
- Or export to your Posternity project, collage, or timeline
