Drop Shadow
Drop shadows add subtle depth and context to your subject — helping it “pop” off the background and look more naturally integrated into your design. With Posternity’s intuitive Drop Shadow tool, you can fine-tune shadows to match your creative vision with ease.

✨ Pro Techniques
💡 Emulate a Glow
Want a glowing effect instead of a shadow?
- Use a high blur value
- Set the opacity lower
- Position the shadow directly beneath or behind the subject
This creates a beautiful, diffused glow — perfect for soft lighting, ethereal subjects, or UI highlights.
🧍 Clip for Depth
For objects that aren’t flat on the ground (like standing figures, floating elements, or elevated products):
- Use the “Clip Shadow” option
- This ensures the shadow only affects the parts close to the surface, enhancing realism.
🧠 Pro Tip: Clipping works great for subjects like shoes, models, or products on a pedestal.
